Have A Question?

  1. I am looking to replace a 25 year old residential sprinkler timer that will operate 2 zones/control valves at once. I need a new 6 zone timer to replace teh existing timer and I still need the functionality to operate 2 zones at the same time. Are there any timers that can do this?

    • It depends on what kind of controller you have. If you go to Sprinkler Warehouse’s Irrigation Controller page and click on the brand that matches your controller, it will take you to a page with links to the different models within that brand, as well as a link to accessories for that brand. Click on the accessories button to see available keys.

  2. I have a large water collection system (rain water collection in an open pond). I now want to connect that as my water supply to my existing multi zoned and timed irrigation system. I already disconnected the city water supply an now need information on connecting a pump to this system, turning the pump on when the irrigation system needs water and controlling the pressure when the pump is on. I read on the seb site what typew of pump is needed but how can I turn on the pump when the irrigation system turns on> thanks, chris.

    • Our store, Sprinkler Warehouse, offers a ton of great free tutorials for just such an application. Check them out here, and hopefully they’ll answer all your questions.

  3. Me and a friend want to start a business – sprinkler system winterization. We’ve read through the general steps as outlined here on the gator blog and have watched several videos via youtube. However, neither of us have had any experience in this. So, how/where do we begin? Should we utilize the information given in the step-by-step process and go at it or is there a place to begin trial and error? Neither of us have our own sprinkler systems. Thanks for your input.

    • Repairing and winterizing your own system is a manageable task for most DIY-savvy homeowners; however, to do it on a professional level requires a business license and insurance. Certification may also be required in some areas, but even if it’s not required, I highly recommend it. Try checking out the http://www.irrigation.org website, as well as getting a job with an irrigation repair or winterization business for some hands-on experience and instruction.

My problem is that one bank is about 4 ft from the beams and the sprinklers rotate and hit the beams in a couple of places causing water to run down the beam and make a wet spot in the arena.
